Fact Sheet – Non-dairy foods naturally rich in calcium

The following foods are naturally rich in calcium and should be included in a dairy-free diet to ensure adequate levels of calcium:

  • Fish, especially sardines, mackerel, anchovies and tinned salmon
  • Shellfish, especially scallops
  • Dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, collard greens, bok choi)
  • Soya beans, tofu, edamame
  • Sesame seeds, tahini
  • Cabbage
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Green beans
  • Oranges
  • White beans, baked beans, chickpeas
  • Almonds, almond milk, almond butter, brazil nuts
  • Seaweed
