  1. my daughter has been getting treatment for OFG for over a year without any positive results. Tried all sorts of creams and medication so we have now resorted to the cinnamon and benzoate free diet, which is easier said than done as most food labels are less than helpful when trying to avoid this. I have been scanning the internet for recipes/menus but it is proving difficult. I really need advice as we are at our wits end now.


  2. I’m sorry to hear you are finding it difficult to get started on the cinnamon and benzoate free diet. There is definitely a steep learning curve involved. I would highly recommend cooking at home from scratch whenever possible – as you say, food labels can be tricky. You may want to start with very simple, plain foods until you are feeling more comfortable with the diet then add new ingredients gradually.
